Online proofing for every file type — strong at structured review rounds on videos, designs and documents, with no step that makes the clips or posts them.
Filestage is strongest at proofing every kind of file — video, images, designs, documents, audio and websites — in one place. Clipflow is built for agencies running multiple client brands — per-client brand voice, a white-label client-review portal, one isolated workspace per client brand, and bundled AI at no token markup. Choose Filestage if that one strength is the whole job; choose Clipflow to run 5, 10, 20 or unlimited client brands from one account, on the Agency plan that matches your roster.

Credit where due
We’re not here to write a hit-piece. Filestage is a serious product with a real user base — it solves a specific job well. Here’s what we think they nailed.
Why switch
Filestage proofs files that already exist. Clipflow makes the client's short-form clips and runs the approval on them. Paste a YouTube link or upload the recording, get 3 to 8 clip-worthy moments per pass; the top three render as captioned vertical clips on their own and the rest on a click, send them on a white-label link, and the client’s Approve posts the clip to the channels you named. For PDFs, designs or long edits, Filestage remains the better proofing tool.

Common questions
Real questions from people evaluating both tools. If Filestage is the better fit for a specific job, we say so.
Only for part of what Filestage does. If your clients sign off on short-form video clips, Clipflow makes those clips, runs the approval in the same place and can post the approved clip. Filestage proofs any file — PDFs, designs, websites, long edits — with staged reviewer groups and version compare. Clipflow does not proof arbitrary files, so keep Filestage for that work.
Yes. Paste the finished file’s public link into a post’s publish panel and send the post for approval: the client plays that exact file on the review link and approves it. The post has to sit on a video in the client’s workspace, and comments cover the whole video, not a frame. For proofing PDFs, designs or long edits with frame-accurate comments and version compare, Filestage is the right tool.
Filestage reviewers open a link, enter their email address, and leave frame-accurate comments or approve, in stages such as team, client and legal. Clipflow’s review link needs no account either: the client sees each clip with its caption, then approves, requests changes or comments. Clipflow’s comments belong to a clip, not to a frame, and there are no staged reviewer groups.
Filestage’s pricing page lists no publishing step, so an approved file is downloaded and posted somewhere else. Clipflow can post the approved clip itself. Instagram and YouTube connect in one click and get the clip itself; TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and X get it through an Upload-Post account; Facebook gets no clips. Every approval request names the channels the post goes to, and the client’s Approve posts it there right away.
Filestage's pricing page, checked in September 2026, shows a free plan with one active project and five new files a month, Starter at €249 a month and Business at €399 a month billed monthly (€199 and €329 a month billed yearly, two months free); Enterprise is on request. Clipflow costs $50 a month per client brand on Agency Flex, or bundles of 5 · 10 · 20 · unlimited client brands, $199 to $499 a month, with unlimited team seats.
