See your real engagement rate per platform, with benchmarks.
A free engagement rate calculator for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X. Inputs: followers, likes, comments, shares. Output: ER% benchmarked against platform medians and niche-specific ranges so creators know if their numbers are good or trash.
Enter your follower count + likes / comments / shares / saves on a recent post. The calculator outputs your engagement rate as a percentage AND positions it against the 2026 industry benchmark for that platform (TikTok ~5.8%, IG ~1.7%, X ~0.5%, LinkedIn ~3.2%).

Who this is for
Creators and social-media managers who want a quick reality-check on whether a post hit, and an honest benchmark vs. the industry median.
The problem this solves
Engagement rate is the #1 metric brands ask about but every platform calculates it differently. The calculator uses each platform's real formula (TikTok counts views, IG counts likes+comments+saves+shares, etc.) AND positions your result against the 2026 industry median so you know if your "3% engagement" is good (LinkedIn) or weak (TikTok).
Engagement rate benchmarks vary 4-10× by platform: TikTok creators average 5-9%, Instagram Reels 1-3%, LinkedIn 2-5%, YouTube 1-2%. Using cross-platform benchmarks instead of platform-specific leads to wildly wrong self-assessment.

Frequently asked
How is engagement rate calculated?
(Likes + Comments + Shares + Saves) ÷ Followers × 100. Some calculators use Reach instead of Followers — both are valid but follower-based ER is the industry standard.
What's a good engagement rate?
Depends on platform AND follower tier. Under 10k followers: TikTok 8-15%, Instagram 3-6%. Over 100k: TikTok 3-5%, Instagram 1-2%. Bigger audiences = lower ER, mathematically.
Why does my engagement rate keep dropping?
Natural decline as audience grows. Also: algorithm fatigue from posting same hook patterns. Mix content types to refresh the algorithmic signal.
Should I worry about a 1% ER on Instagram?
At 50k+ followers: no. At 5k followers: yes — under 3% at small scale means audience misalignment.
Are engagement-rate benchmarks the same in 2026 as 2023?
No. They've dropped 30-50% across all platforms as feeds saturate. The calculator uses current 2026 medians, not stale data.
